Nardi Bruno

Bruno Nardi was born in Castelfiorentino, a town in the Florence province, in 1942. He started as a decorator of artistic ceramics and afterwards he kept up painting developing a style of his own inspired by the “macchiaioli” and the Tuscan landscape painters of the 19th century. The painting technique used for his works of art is acrylic and oil colours on different materials such as canvas, board and linen cardboard, whose background gets previously prepared with acrylic chalk. The finished work is then coated with varnish. Bruno Nardi participated to several exhibitions, where he met with both audience’s and critics’ favour. His works are present in numerous public and private collections in Italy and abroad. He lives and works in Castelfiorentino. “What is striking in the painting of Bruno Nardi is the magic of light, of life-giving light, and solar dream of its landscapes, painted during the seasons, in the rotation of crops and agricultural work. His landscapes reflect his deepest emotions, impressions and suggestions that come from the light, and “numinous” spectacle of nature, that his generous Tuscan land offers  in an endless kaleidoscope of landscapes, views, angles, of glimpses of unique beauty.
